Russia convinces Serbia: "South Stream" is not cancelled

Vladimir Putin and Dimitri Medvedev were convincing Serbian government that "South Stream" is not cancelled.

This was the message that Russian president and Prime Minister conveyed to their Serbian colleagues Tomislav Nikolić and Aleksandar Vučić in their phone conversations, "Blic" exclusively reveals.

 

But, Russia's main condition will be that the EU also participates in financing the pipeline.

 

Vučić said to Dimitri Medvedev that Russian decision to cancell the "South Stream" is very bad news for Serbia.

 

Medvedev justified their decision with the fact that European union didn't cooperate with Russia in the "South Stream" project.

 

In the following tercly announcements made by both governments, there is no clear, specific explanation about Russia's answer to Serbia regarding the "South Stream."

 

Vučić and Medvedev talked for about 20 minutes, and in that conversation Russian Prime Minister didn't say anything about definite cancellation of the "South Stream", an unnamed source says for "Blic."
