Serbian President to start consultations on gov't

BELGRADE - Serbian President Tomislav Nikolic will on Thursday start consultations on the formation of the Serbian government with a meeting with Aleksandar Vucic, who heads the "Aleksandar Vucic - Serbia is winning" electoral list, which won the most seats in the April 24 early parliamentary elections.

The consultations will take place at the president's General Secretariat at 2 pm, the presidential press office announced in a statement.

Under the Serbian constitution, the candidate for prime minister is put forward to the parliament following meetings with the representatives of the lists elected.
